I swung around, trying to look anything but massively irritated, which was what I actually was. In my experience, that meant, "Let me be openly mean." Coming right up," I said, and turned to go. But why would a real estate saleswoman from Clarice be.oh. Not that Clarice was far you could get there in fifteen or twenty minutes. Silly Selah.Ĭome to think of it, what was Selah doing here? She'd never come in without Bill. She really wanted to know all about Jason's wedding, but asking me would be like surrendering ground to the enemy. "Ranch." Selah's big dark eyes were examining me like she was thinking of etching my portrait. What kind of dressing did you want on that salad?" I was at my brother's wedding last night. "Not getting enough rest, Sookie?" she asked, her voice sharp. No matter how invisible Ex had become, she'd never be my favorite person. She'd been dating Nameless Ex-Lover for several weeks - well, months now. Ordinarily Selah irritated the hell out of me. I yawned widely as I took Selah Pumphrey's order. IT WAS A GOOD THING I knew every inch of Merlotte's like I knew my own house, or I'd have bumped into every table and chair.

The continuing 2 releases give us the stories of 2 Ravenel sisters, Helen and Pandora whereas book 5 had Weston's. Longtime series fans as well as newcomers drawn by the SciFi Channel’s TV series based on the novels should find this supernatural mystery a real winner.”- Library Journal “A tricky plot complete with against-the-clock pacing, firefights, explosions, and plenty of magic. “What’s not to like about this series?.It takes the best elements of urban fantasy, mixes it with some good old-fashioned noir mystery, tosses in a dash of romance and a lot of high-octane action, shakes, stirs, and serves.”- SF Site The supporting cast is again fantastic, and Harry’s wit continues to fly in the face of a peril-fraught plot.”- Booklist (starred review) “Butcher.spins an excellent noirish detective yarn in a well-crafted, supernaturally-charged setting. “One of the most enjoyable marriages of the fantasy and mystery genres on the shelves.”- Cinescape “Superlative.”- Publishers Weekly (starred review) Hamilton and Tanya Huff will love this series.”- Midwest Book Review “Think Buffy the Vampire Slayer starring Philip Marlowe.”- Entertainment Weekly This book limits illustrations but the text is well written and easy to read. This compass is a great way to bring those elements together in one place for ease of use and clarity. This fits directly into several certifications I recently completed related to crystal healing. I enjoyed the section on how crystals work and their relationship to using their elemental qualities for wholeness. The introduction is quite lengthy and the author gives us her background on using crystals and the history of the crystal compass. Only two pages provided, both front and back one for the Symptoms Index and one for the Results Index. The outside is smooth and has color images of the author on the back as well as two large crystal compass on the front and back inner cover. I received a hard copy w/o a dust jacket to review. It is a small book, in that it can easily fit into a backpack or purse for reading on the go. As with all my reviews I'll start with a review of the physical book. |
