A short while following birth, Patrick began displaying symptoms of Infant Respiratory Distress Syndrome, or breathing difficulties. Due to the premature birth, he weighed less than 5 pounds. The next 2 children were healthy, although Jack, the son, was premature. She had already had one miscarriage in 1955, followed by a stillborn. This was her fifth pregnancy in a previously unhealthy past four. By August of 1963, Jackie Kennedy had now been pregnant over 27 weeks. ![]()
